PROFESSIONAL INFORMATION
Biographical Notes:

I have been a lawyer in B.C. since 1985. The focus of my practice is on arbitration and mediation.  I am a listed arbitrator with the BC Collective Agreement Arbitration Bureau. I am also listed with the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service for Part I and Part III appointments under the Canada Labour Code. I adjudicate grievances for the Yukon Teachers Labour Relations Board. I am a part-time vice-chair of the Canada Industrial Relations Board.  I am a former part-time member of the federal Public Service Labour Relations Board (2004 – 2007 and 2009 – 2014) and former part-time adjudicator with the BC Employment Standards Tribunal (1997 – 2004). I have provided independent third party reviewer services to federal agencies. My non-labour/employment practice includes commercial arbitration. I adjudicated sexual and physical abuse claims by former students of Indian Residential Schools. I have served on the B.C. Environmental Appeal Board/Forest Appeals Commission and chaired the Mediation and Arbitration Board (for surface rights disputes – mining, oil and gas and geothermal).
